About Me Oct. 11, 2002

My name is Laura. I was born on February 28, 1980 so that makes me 22 right now! I was married to the perfect man on October 6, 2001. His name is Peter. I am American and from Iowa, but since my husband is Dutch, I'm currently living in The Netherlands with him.

We always knew we wanted a baby right away and we were surprised when in early November a pregnancy test came out positive! Unfortunately, I started to bleed and on November 12, we lost the baby. We named him Brayden and we buried him. We don't know what went wrong, but for whatever reason we could not keep him. His due date was July 4, 2002.

So we tried and tried for another baby and it was just not working out. I was on vacation in the USA with my family and we figured that at least for the month of August, we were quitting! I missed Peter so much on vacation!! I couldn't wait to see him again! Well, wouldn't you know it.. We weren't even trying and on August 9, 2002, we were successful again! The DR found that really funny of course since he knew that once we quit trying it would happen.

So now we are overjoyed! Every single day we read about how the baby is developing and Peter even kisses my tummy where he knows the baby is. I hope our baby knows how much it is loved!
