May 6, 2003 : 40 weeks

Well right when we walked in the midwife had just gotten off the phone with the hospital. She arranged for us to go to the hospital on Friday for some monitoring and then a visit with the OB DR. Since I'm about a week overdue I get to discuss induction. She said that if I go to 42 weeks that I can't have her deliver the baby anymore! WAHHHHH! I want my home birth and a midwife! This baby will never come out!

She also decided to do an internal exam to see if I'm dilating or anything yet. Nope. Completely sealed shut and no signs of anything to come. She was going to try and trip my membranes if I was open enough but since I wasn't, she couldn't do it.

Not much else happened. Did the usual measuring and blood pressure thing.
