February 25, 2003 : 30 weeks

3rd Midwife visit and we had her assistant today although we did see the main one briefly! It was a few moments of weirdness because the lady didn't know I speak English. First she did blood pressure.. I assume it was ok since she didn't tell me the results. Then she asked how things are and I said bad. I have had these period cramps every day now for over a month. I really feel awful when I get t hem and I get the chills as well. My back annoys me to death and Peter has to help me move or get up from bed now. I am also very short of breath all of a sudden!! I have to remind myself to breathe in and out sometimes. She assured me that all was normal and there's really nothing I can do about it. Well sadly I was almost hoping she'd be worried and make sure everything was ok but she didn't. Part of me is relieved because I didn't shave my legs for her to check there so I'd be embarrassed haha! So then she pricked my finger to check my iron. Never heard of that before in my books! Well I don't know the results of that either because she didn't tell me!

Then I was able to get on the table to get measured and all. The table was so high!!! She had to lower it for me. She was able to tell me where the baby's parts are. His head is RIGHT down there at the bottom, his back is on my right side and his butt is in my chest. She said he can still completely turn around though. I kinda hope he stays there and comes early or turns around so I can have a C section. I'm scared to death of labor right now. We heard the baby's heartbeat as well and it was normal still.

So not much new at this visit. I go every 2 weeks from now on though! I'm very excited for my 3D/4D ultrasound for my birthday on Friday!
