October 8, 2002: 10 weeks

Well I wasn't as nervous this time but still a bit since yesterday I had cramps really bad and couldn't move much.. I was so worried! So we went to the DR today for a reg. checkup and I was weighed.. Exactly the same to the decimal point! Weird how all my pants are tight but I didn't gain any weight.

So my blood pressure was 145/70 and they said that was ok.. I am always nervous so if it is high or whatnot.. That's the reason.. I don't know what is normal.

We waited for what felt like hours until we were called to see the dr. We immediately went into the ultrasound room and I got a reg. ultrasound instead of the..erm...inside the body one..hehe

We couldn't see a whole lot.. I blame that on my fatty tummy but the DR seemed to think that having a little extra fat was better for the baby since I'm sick all the time. So I had to watch a TV monitor to see the picture and Peter got to watch on the computer which showed more!

Took me awhile to see a heartbeat but sure enough I saw it! So right before the DR made the picture the baby did a little flip or something! We knew where the head was and all and then it seemed the baby like.. crawled around and flipped over.. It was kinda cool!! So when he finally made the picture you couldn't see much so sadly this ultrasound picture is terrible.. but I'm happy to know everything is normal!

We were worried the DR wouldn't see us anymore.. over here everyone uses a midwife but he finally said that we can still come to him if we want to.. and he will still do an ultrasound every 4 weeks since I had a miscarriage before.

So my next visit is November 8th! I can't wait! I'll be 14 weeks then and hopefully we can see much more!
