November 1 , 2002 : 14 weeks
Today starts my 2nd Trimester and I'm hoping that I can finally begin to enjoy pregnancy!! I've been going nuts on Ebay buying maternity clothes! I have them mailed to mom since shipping is not as much so by the time we get there in December, I will have enough to wear at our visit for Christmas! I can bring an empty suitcase! YAY! I spent about an hour going through my wardrobe to see what no longer looks good on me. The answer: practically nothing! I'm so mad too because mom's package still hasn't come and I was hoping for something cute to wear in it! Guess it comes tomorrow. I've been using this quick hair growth during pregnancy to finally grow my bangs out! I really like how I look with them pulled out of my face. Just means my eyebrows get more attention now but at least my forehead is less oily. Peter seems to like it too. Last night I had a big chocolate craving and of course acted upon it. Why is chocolate so GOOD all of a sudden? Made tacos for lunch today and they weren't as good as I'd hoped. So, now we're going to the castle for dinner. I'll make sure to get a couple pictures to put up here from there. I won't be bowling like everyone else but it should still be fun. I was made a judge of some sort so at least I won't be bored. I'm very messed up about the day though. Last year we went to the castle on November 9th. The day I started to have my first miscarriage. 2 days later, I held that baby in my hand. It was really hard and I can't help but worry that it will happen again. I had a ton of baby dreams last night and 2 of them that I can remember involved me losing this baby. I hope it was all just a dream and not a premonition.
November 2 , 2002 : 14 weeks
Tonight we went to the Subway that just opened in Maastricht. I was able to eat almost my entire 12 inches! YAY! Still no package from mom. I really need it to come soon! Not much else is going on really!

Today I felt the baby move when Peter put his hand on my 'spot.' I had my doubts about some of these feelings. but I'm still pretty sure that it IS the baby moving!

In the wee hours of this morning, 3 am or so, the baby decided to play soccer or do gymnastics or something because he/she wouldn't let me sleep! It was the strongest movements I've felt so far! It was so cool! I woke Peter up and I think he felt it too!
November 7 , 2002 : 14 weeks
Tomorrow is my next DR visit and I'm really excited to see the baby again! I bet we see so much more this time! I also really want to know if it's a boy or a girl. We picked a middle name for a boy recently. I would add it here as well but I don't want to tell the middle names we picked since we picked them for a reason. You won't find out until May! We went grocery shopping tonight and got a ton of stuff! I have to remind myself to get some chips and salsa soon! I crave that for some reason!
November 9 , 2002 : 15 weeks
Yesterday the DR refused to give us another ultrasound (and he had promised us one at every visit!) and I was so crushed that we found a place to do a 3D ultrasound! It was the coolest experience in my entire life! My favorite part was when the baby got the hiccups! We got a cdrom, a printout, and a video from the entire thing! We will probably do another one in 10 weeks. That will be even cooler I bet!!
November 11 , 2002 : 15 weeks
Today I showed the 3D Ultrasound stuff to everyone and so did Peter at work. I still can't get over how cool that was. I also went shopping and bought a cute onesie!

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of Brayden's death. I should have done something special for him today but I didn't. I didn't forget though and I wish he was still here.

Not a whole lot going on this whole week. Been eating lots of tortilla chips with cheese and salsa. Had some soup tody as well and for some reason, I hated it./ Yesterday and today I didn't get dinner really since Peter's mom makes stuff I hate. I wonder if my package from mom will ever come! So much in it! Stuff for my other website, maternity clothes, baby clothes I got online, some food items.. and who knows what else! :(
November 16 , 2002 : 16 weeks
Well I just barfed again! I wanted to stop taking my pills for it and managed 24 hours. Then we got in the car to go to Belgium and when we got home I lost it! I grabbed a shopping bag just in time, but the bag had a hole in it! Go figure! Luckily I have the sweetest husband in the world who came to the rescue!
November 18, 2002 : 16 weeks
Today I had a fight with Peter's mom over laundry. I want to be able to do my own laundry and she says I'm not allowed. Her house, her rules. Forget that we pay rent and we technically own the dryer! We bought it! I know my mom would be mad if she had to do my laundry. At least she says I can wash my baby clothes. What's the deal here? I'm lost! She's a witch. I hate her.

Today we saw Harry Potter 2. Very disappointing after reading the book! Not much baby news. We went to a couple baby stores today. My appetite is very much on the rise and we had to stop and feed me in town haha! I'm always hungry! Guess I can feel totally ok with it since I still haven't gained weight. At least I don't think!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I don't get to celebrate it. Sunday the baby moved a lot! Tonight we watched a baby being born on tv and now I'm scared to death of labor!

Today we went to Belgium for magazines and we had to pull over for me to throw my lunch up. Then we got me some Sprite and right when we got home I threw that up too! I just ate dinner and I hope it stays inside this time! When does this sickness pass? Seems I always throw up in the shower and have to brush my teeth to stop myself!

My Package is here today but we missed it's delivery and will get it at lunchtime tomorrow! YAY! I can have Catalina dressing again! Tummy is still hard and very weird feeling inside!

Today we fired our DR and switched to a midwife group since our DR didn't seem tocare about us. This marks my first actual weight gain of 0.9 kg or around 2 lbs.

Peter is sick today. He knows it's extra bad for me to catch it and when I'm not pregnant I catch everything so we're being extra careful to not kiss or share drinks.

Today after school I went shopping in town. I've been drinking so much hot tea and hot cocoa and it's so cold! I bought a thermos to take with me to school. Today at dinner I ate pretty well and was in a good moood most of the night.. how rare!

This morning I won a Gymboree sweater I just had to have! I've been trying to collect the whole line. I better have a girl with all these clothes I've bought!! A week from today we'll be on a plane to the USA! I can't wait! We're going to have a shower and then also buy a pack n play, stroller, car seat, etc since that stuff is cheaper there.

Tonight I'm very emotional as I have been the past few days. We went shopping today and not much else. Had to remind Peter's parents for the 100000000000th time to stay out of our room! I keep buying the cutest little girl outfits so this better be a girl or I'll have to resell it all!

Been having some cramps today. I worry about the baby and I also worry that they are contractions already. They meet the description and feel like period cramps. We have an ultrasound tomorrow.

Today is the start of our vacation in the USA (Iowa). I always feel the baby move a little bit but today he gave me his first real KICKS and didn't stop the entire day.

Not much new today. A few days ago we found out we're having a boy! Have to sell the girl stuff now! We love the name Sebastian. On the 3D ultrasound we saw him opening and closing his eyes! It was incredible! He always sucks his hands and lays on his arms! He's getting so big already!!!

Shopping today! Looked at baby stuff all over. Won't buy till end of vacation though. Sebastian moves sooo much!!!

We spent most of the day with my brother's kids! Peter had a lot of fun playing with Christian who is 3. He also did a lot of reading with Jessie who's 6. He'll be a great daddy!

Today we had Christmas with Brock's family and mom and uncle Dennis. Brittney is so excited about the baby! I ate a big dinner too! The kids are so cute but I'll never have 5!

Yetserday we had Christmas with my dad's family. We got lots of gift cards and books and I also got some belly cream and maternity underwear. Much needed!! Today we have Jessie over later and she's certainly been a handful since we picked her up. We all went swimming at Dennis' hotel tonight! It was a lot of fun!

We've been doing a lot of shopping for the baby today! Stroller, car seat, pack n play, clothes, and more! We've even thought about diaper stacker, pack n play sheets, bottles, pacifiers, etc! Tonight is the first time Peter felt the baby kick!

Getting ready to head back to the Netherlands. Packing everything has certainly been a challenge! Hope we get away with it all. I'm going to miss here so much!

Our last day of vacation really! All packed and ready to go. Still nervous about things! We stopped at family to say goodbye and we also so Rhyuan today for pizza. I made sure to eat all my fav foods before going to bed and made sure to grab some items to bring with!

2 days ago was our first midwife visit! I really liked her and I'm glad we switched. She won't even weigh me since I'm paranoid about not gaining enough! We got home from vacation on the 4th and slept forever! Peter and I are both sick.. I think Christian (bro's 3 yr old) got us sick but who knows. Today we got a package in the mail from some place here with some free baby things. Some diapers, wipes, magazines, and lotion. Magazines are in Dutch.. ho hum.

Tonight Peter's friends Charlie and Nicole came over. We showed them all the baby things and they thought it was nice!

Today I started school again but felt sick right away so I walked home. I also stopped at McDonald's to see what a Dutch egg mcmuffin tastes like. Minus the bacon it was really good! Once I got home I stayed in bed until Peter was home from work.

Today Brittney (bro's daughter) is 8 yrs old! Wow! I remember taking care of her as a baby!! Past few days wisdom tooth is annoying me so tomorrow we go to the dentist to get it removed. I'm scared but relieved to end the pain.
January 17, 2003: 25 weeks
Dentist wouldn't remove the tooth because the gums around it got infected. I have to rinse with peroxide until Monday or Tuesday and go back to have it removed then. The infection is bad for the baby so I'm worried!! I still want this stupid tooth out now!!! I bet it hurts bad though.. and can't have pain killers because of the baby. :(
January 21, 2003: 25 weeks
Had my wisdom tooth out today.. it was awful! The Dentist even had to cut my cheek open to get the tooth out! I feel like I could bleed forever.... AHHHHH! Eating is kind of a no brainer eh?

Wow, glad the previous days didn't have spaces to write in this diary since I've been in pain from the tooth removal! Worst experience of my life! Labor should be easy in comparison!! I still can't eat anything I want, hopefully I can soon!
